Swedes are known for their obsession about the weather. I have always tried to be a rebel and not care about it. My mom can call me sometimes and ask what the weather is like in Warsaw and I have no clue. It doesn’t even hit me that I can just look out the window to find out, so often I just make something up to make her happy. I don’t know why but people in Sweden gets very satisfied after hearing a weather report?
I didn’t care to sit outside on a restaurant in early May eating my cold dinner (my friends insisted/forced me). I didn’t care to throw of my clothes in February when I lived in France although all the other Swedes did as soon as the sun popped out (I don’t want to know what the French people thought about all the Swedes walking around in tops, when themselves still had their winter jackets tight around them).
Really weather is not my thing. But now I don’t know what to think anymore. I really love my hometown in Sweden but every time I come home it rains, I’ve been home for three weeks and have destroyed four umbrellas. Then I go back to Warsaw and it greets me with the sun. I always have too much clothes on when I land. And when I leave Warsaw the sun is always shining. Going home for Christmas this year the whole town was covered in white and the sun made it looked like the whole of Warsaw was covered in diamonds. Coming home to Sweden the fog and rain yet again greeted me with its cold and wet unpleasantness. What is the weather trying to tell me?

Forget Sweden. Poland is a future of Europe and has better weather than all Scandinavia together.
Hmm is it that simple really?
